Michelle Habell-Pallán, Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies,University of Washington, is Director of the Certificate for Public Scholarship and co-directs Women Who Rock: Making Scenes, Building Communities Oral History Archive. She co-curated/authored the exhibit & book American Sabor: Latinos in U.S. Popular Music, authored “‘Girl in a Coma” Tweets Chicanafuturism: Decolonial Visions, Social Media, and Archivista Praxis, and creates community with Seattle Fandango Project. She was awarded the 2017 Barclay Simpson Prize for Scholarship in Public.
